Event Description We are delighted that Anne Wallace Allen, Editor of the Idaho Business Review, will be our special guest speaker at the beginning of this month’s Money-Making Marketing™ workshop. Anne Wallace Allen will be sharing tips about how small businesses can work with the media. Anne’s presentation on Wednesday, April 18th beginning at 11:00 a.m. will cover: • Developing a good relationship with the media • What makes something “newsworthy” • How and when to submit news items to the press About the Presenter Anne Wallace Allen is editor of Idaho Business Review. Anne started with the IBR in 2010. She moved to Idaho with her family in 2005, taking a job with the Associated Press bureau in Boise after a decade-long career with the AP in Vermont. She has worked in daily journalism since 1994, most of that time at the AP. After moving to Idaho, she also worked as an education writer for the Idaho Statesman. In addition to reporting work, Allen has written policy white papers for Boise State University President Bob Kustra and has appeared on Idaho Public Television. Anne started her journalism career as a wire editor for United Press International in London. Her duties there included producing a daily European economic news summary for broadcast on National Public Radio. She also worked as a writer for the United Nations in New York. Anne was born in Australia and raised in Needham, Mass. She has a bachelor’s in English literature from Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y., and a master’s in public policy from Georgetown University.
